More than just a golf club, Mere has developed from it's earliest mentions in the Doomsday Book into Cheshire's finest private membership and corporate hospitality venue.

Owned by the Boler Family since 1984, the club is now under the daily operation of Mark Roberts, General Manager, who has enhanced it's reputation through the implementation and continuity of quality standards and service.

The championship standard parkland course, designed by Open Champions James Braid and George Duncan in 1934 and opened on May 11th 1935, is set around the Mere (meaning lake), after which the course is named, and provides some of the most challenging holes in professional golf.

Membership of Mere Golf & Country Club is much sought after. Not just for golf, but also for it's extensive health, fitness, and leisure facilities, on an individual, family and corporate basis.

Expansion and redevelopment of the site has not been confined to the golf course and leisure club, but also includes the recent building of large scale conference, banqueting and boardroom facilities suitable for corporate and private occasions from 2 to 1000 guests.
